Tributes have poured in for ARISE News anchor, reporter and producer Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, also known as Sommie, who died tragically in the early hours of Monday, September 29. The 29-year-old died following a robbery incident at her residence in the Katampe area of Abuja, and one of her tweets before her demise has resurfaced online. On August 14, Somtochuwku tweeted a prayer from the depths of her heart that may Nigeria not happen to her or anyone she cares about. It seemed her fears had become a reality.
